and then clicking Pin
Advisor.
Opens the Pin Advisor, which is designed to help you with pin
planning for your Altera device in the
Quartus® Prime Standard Editionsoftware.
- Pin planning in the Quartus® Prime Standard Editionsoftware involves
making pin assignments with the Pin Planner in your design that meet
your system interface, logic, and timing requirements.
- Optionally, you can create a top-level HDL file if one does not
exist.
- The most important step in pin planning is validation of your
pin assignments against all I/O rules present in the
Quartus® Prime Standard Editionsoftware. The advisor comprises various design
flow steps which help you in creating a validated Pin Out File
(.pin).
