Allows you to specify input files containing
toggle rate and static probability data on which to base power
analysis.Displays the
list of specified input files, their file type, and the entities to
which they are assigned.
- Add—Opens the Add Power Input File dialog box, which allows
you to add a Signal Activity File (.saf) Definition or Value Change Dump File (.vcd) Definition containing toggle rate and
static probability data.
- Remove—Removes a selected file from the Input File list.
- Edit—Opens the Edit Power Input File dialog box, which allows
you to specify processing options and entity assignment for a selected Signal
Activity File or Value Change Dump File.
- Perform glitch filtering on VCD Files—Specifies whether the
PowerPlay Power Analyzer performs glitch filtering on all Value Change Dump Files. A
glitch occurs when transitions of a signal occur too quickly to allow the signal to
fully propagate over the routing between the source and destination ports. Glitch
filtering removes all pulses that are shorter than the glitch interval length,
allowing for more accurate reporting of signal transitions. The glitch filtering
enabled by this option removes glitches that occur only over device routing.
